Playing Beer Pong at a tailgate is one of the most important things planned.  The ecutailgate.com table is one of the most state of the art tables that exist.  It folds up, Lights up, and shuts up some of the most competitive players.  Stop by and check this table out at the next tailgate, or drop us a line if you want some FREE plans to build your own.  While there are many different sets of beer pong rules people play, some of the general beer pong rules we play by are posted at the bottom of this page.

Beer Pong Rules

Table 4x8

1.  You can only be on the Active List ONCE, NOT With Multiple Partners, IF your name is on twice you will be disqualified.  Once you lose, you may sign back up to play again.  An example is Fish and Shaun playing as a Team and then three teams down the line on the list there is Kelly and Fish Signed up to play.  Fish is disqualified.

1a.  Tournament Play - you must keep the same partner throughout the tournament.  Once you lose you can sign up again.  If you sign up before you lose officially, your team is disqualified.

2.  All 6 Cups will be formed into a triangle.  Sixteen ounce cups are normally used.

3.  One beer is used to fill all 6 cups unless you make a prior arrangement with the other team to use more.  (A Suicide Cup is permitted?)  We play to win and yeah you can use one beer per cup (Chapel Hill), but lets be realistic one or two games and your bombed.  We play to win and to win is to get shit-faced after 13 wins in a row.

4.  Bounce or Toss.

4a.  Bounce or Toss,  It is up to the owner of the table..... typically only girls are allowed to Toss and only if they are at least an 8 out of 10 in hotness.   Since Beer Pong was started by bouncing by Jeff Smith in Atlantic City 1913, we prefer to bounce and also bouncing is preferred since it's called BEER PONG.  Only one bounce is permitted.  If your going to toss maybe you should call it Beer Toss, Beer Ball but don't call it pong.  But we do welcome any competition.  Many people do toss because of having a cheap table that does not bounce well.  Like any sport, investing in the proper equipment for the game makes a difference.

5.  Ladies are the only ones allowed to Blow a ball out of a cup on ANY table.

6.  You must alternate with your partner on turns.

7.  When a cup is made, you may not proceed until the cup is completely finished.

7a. When a cup is made, you do not shoot again.

8.  When there are 3 cups left, they must be formed into a touching triangle.  If they are not, the opposing team can swat the Pong Ball when you toss or bounce.

9.  If a Cup is knocked over for any reason on your side by your team, the opposing team adds an extra cup in front of them and takes away two additional cups in front of you, plus the fallen cup, for a total of three cups.  Example:  You have 2 cups left in front of you and you only have 1 cup to make to win.  Your partner tosses the pong ball and knocks over the final cup.  Rule:  The cup that gets knocked over gets replaced, plus an additional cup.  Two cups are taken away in front of you giving the opposing team a win.

10.  A game is won when a team makes all the opposing teams cups.  There are no more chances as soon as the last cup is made.

11.  The losing team must drink the remaining cups and bring more beer to the table for the next game on the list.
